Clifford's Original Wine Bar,
explore the wines she has
chosen for the week's rotating
list of wines by the glass. This
free tasting lasts about 20
minutes and is a great
introduction to the basics of
wine tasting. It's a popular
event full of friendly people,
so come with a group or alone
and make new friends!

Every Sunday, 4 to 11 p.m.
Inventory Night
On Sunday nights, join us as
we wheel and deal the last of
the wine from the weekend.
Since Clifford's Original Wine
Bar is closed on Monday and
Tuesday, we make a sport out
of trying not to open new

of the evening. Make new
friends as you team up to
make sure no drip goes
undrunk! Flexibility and
creativity are always rewarded
at Clifford's, and that goes
double for Sundays nights.

AngelHeart Childrens Shelter
Thursday, April 17, 2008
6:30 - 8:30pm
Research Plaza, Building IV
12301 Research Blvd, Austin
Join us for a wine tasting and silent auction event promoting awareness of Child Abuse
Prevention Month. All proceeds will benefit our children who live at Angelheart. For a
donation of $40 per individual, or $75 per couple, enjoy an enchanted evening sampling an
eclectic selection of wines with accompanying appetizers. Our silent auction is sure to
please all our guests with a wide variety of items. Purchase your tickets online or by mail.

April was declared Child Abuse Prevention Month by Presidential proclamation in 1985.
Since then, individuals and organizations who are dedicated to protecting children have
used this special time of year to acknowledge the importance of families and communities
working together to prevent child abuse in all its forms.

Please consider being a sponsor for our event. If you would like to be a part of our campaign
to protect Texas children through a sponsorship or silent auction item, please complete the
sponsorship form. Event sponsorship offers a wonderful opportunity to aid an organization
that serves as an advocate for children in crisis, while at the same time presenting your
company with excellent public relations opportunities. We expect to attract 200 guests to
the event this year. It is only through the help and generosity of sponsors like you that we will
raise the money Angelheart Children's Shelter needs to provide abused children with a safe
place to live. All donors will receive recognition in the event program and during the auction,
as well as participation in the wine tasting.

Three Dudes Winery
THREE DUDES CRAWFISH BOIL!!!!
Saturday, April 26th 2:00pm-6:00pm
Yep, you heard right…..crawfish……mudbugs……Louisiana lobsters ; or as the Dudes like to
call them, "another good reason to pop a cork".
We’ll be flying in a hundred pounds or so of these not so little Louisiana delicacies and, Dude
Ron Pontiff, will be on hand to demonstrate yet again his nearly mystical culinary talents with
a crawfish pot.
Those of you that have visited the Dudes before are probably already aware that this is
exactly the kind of cuisine for which our super popular " Texas White" wine was created.
So come and join the Dudes, and of course the DOG, on Saturday, April 26th for a late lunch,
laughter, and libations of the kind not to be found anywhere else in Texas.
(There’s no charge for the crawfish, but we’ll only be serving up the bugs between 2:30 and
4:00 – so come early while supplies last.)

children 12 and under.  The Brunch will be very, very special.

The Nash Family will entertain.  They have performed with Joel Olsteen and are fantastic.

Make this a special day for Mom-I know my Mom will be here.  I am so proud of her she is 86
and almost totally blind but she absolutely never feels sorry for herself and is still going
strong, if she had her eyesight she'd be heck on wheels.

Also a very special guest, Rev. Ben Hunter, retired pastor of Galilee Baptist church in
Hitchcock, will be here for a book signing--- He has written an absolutely precious book
about his life "No Lambs No Sheep". We thought it would be a great extra for your Mom's
special day. with the author here to sign the book.  Back in the 60's, right after Dr. Martin
Luther King was murdered, Rev. Hunter invited all the surrounding churches to attend a
special service at his church in Hitchcock.  There were riots everywhere and our girls were
very young and we were afraid to take them to the all-black church.  The next Sunday after
Rev. Hunter's service our priest really made us feel bad for not attending the service that we
should all reach out and try and make peace in our communities with all the racial hatred.
So I called Rev. Hunter and invited him and his family to our house for dinner.  Let me tell you
that NEVER in the history of either of our family's had a black & white family ever been invited
inside one of our homes and especially not for dinner.  Both our parents, the winemaker's
and mine, went ballistic.  My Dad went to bed and didn't get out for one week and Raymond's
chewed us out something terrible. Thank God both parents later changed their racial views.
Well we stuck to our guns and we had a wonderful meal with the Hunters and they in turned
invited us to their home.  Then we went a step further and attended Church at the Galilee
Baptist Church and then they came to Mass with us.  We became good friends and over the
years have watched Rev. Hunter's career and vocation blossom.  His book is very special.

Hope to see you on Mother's Day.  We have a limited number of reservations so please
contact Amanda Symmank at 409-925-1401, ext. 105 and make yours today.
